Application and Reflection of Generative AI in Smart Subject Services of University Libraries
Since the inception of ChatGPT,Generative AI has demonstrated its profound impact and immense potential across various fields.The academic services of university libraries are undoubtedly bound to be influenced by this technological trend.This article provides an overview of the basic aspects of Generative AI and analyzes its potential in several application domains of academic services:construction and management of academic resources,acquisition and utilization of academic information,processing and statistical analysis of academic information,consultation and feedback for academic users,and data mining and decision support for academic disciplines.In these application scenarios,Generative AI can significantly enhance user experience and the work efficiency of library staff.This article also offers an in-depth contemplation of the application of Generative AI in intelligent academic services of university libraries,with the aim of providing reference and guidance for the introduction of Generative AI technology in library academic services.
