Under the background of the rise of data-intensive scientific paradigm,this paper puts forward a new subject service content aiming at improving the data management efficiency of researchers,guiding the library to solve the data management problems of researchers and deepening the service connotation.Questionnaires were used to explore the current situation of data management of researchers,sort out the existing management problems and understand the data service requirements.The investigation found that clear cognition of data management,good application of metadata tools and adequate provision of metadata services are all helpful to solve the data management problems of researchers and improve their data management efficiency.On this basis,combined with the data management life cycle theory and data service demand characteristics of various disciplines,the construction of scientific data discipline service system based on metadata is put forward as a suggested strategy.
