Research on the Impact Mechanism and Countermeasure Path of Digital Skills Enhancement for Elderly Library Users
The rapid development of digital technology has put forward higher requirements for the digital skills of the elderly population.Public libraries have a social responsibility to improve the digital skills level of the elderly population.This article conducted semi-structured interviews with 30 respondents,using grounded theory and Nvivo 12 software to complete the three-level coding work,revealing the impact mechanism of improving digital skills for elderly users in library services in China,and constructing a behavioral mechanism conceptual model.The analysis results show that the intention of elderly users to enhance their digital skills through the library is influenced by behavioral attitude factors,perceived behavioral control factors,and subjective normative factors.Based on these factors,suggestions are proposed for the library to provide digital skills services for elderly users,providing reference for further improving library services.
