In the new stage of development,empowering agriculture and rural modernization with the digital economy has a dual goal,which is to achieve both the transformation from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture and the digitization of agriculture.Under the dual goals,the digital economy can empower the development of agricultural and rural mod-ernization at the macro,medium,and micro levels.The mechanisms by which the digital economy empowers agricultur-al and rural modernization include innovation driven mechanisms,efficiency improvement mechanisms,division of la-bor coordination mechanisms,organizational management mechanisms,supply and demand structure mechanisms,and financing support mechanisms.The key task of China's agricultural and rural modernization under the dual goals of the new development stage is mainly to improve the supply guarantee level of important agricultural products such as grain,and ensure the safety of agricultural product supply,to optimize agricultural production structure and regional layout,enhance agricultural quality,efficiency,and competitiveness,to promote the construction of a modern agricul-tural industry system and enhance the modernization level of the industrial chain supply chain,to promote the con-struction of a modem agricultural management organizational system and encourage the development of various forms of moderate scale operations,and to improve resource utilization efficiency and promote green and sustainable develop-ment of agriculture.In response to the constraints of digital economy empowering China's agricultural and rural mod-ernization in the new development stage,the path of digital economy empowering China's agricultural and rural mod-ernization under dual goals lies in promoting the digitization of the entire agricultural industry chain and promoting the deep integration of digital technology and agriculture and rural areas,making up for the shortcomings of rural digital e-conomy and bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas,improving the support system and enhance the support capacity of the digital economy to empower China's agricultural and rural modernization,and strengthening fi-nancial support and broaden financing channels for empowering China's agricultural and rural modernization through the digital economy.
