The niche change and new localization development of social work in China under ecosystem transformation
This study analyzes the development of social work in China from the perspective of ecological system theory. It argues that under the leadership and promotion of the civil affairs department, the social work in China has achieved rapid development. However, the development is unbalanced and presents a relatively weak ecosystem state. The Reform plan for Party and state institutions decided to establish the Social Work Department of the Central Committee and its system to coordinate and guide the development of social work nationwide. The ecosystem for the development of social work in China has then transformed into a stronger one with a series of basic characteristics. The ecosystems transfor-mation will improve the ecological niche of social work to gain new ecological opportunities. It is necessary to adhere to the Party's leadership and realize the"new localization development"of social work in China on the basis of com-bining the new localization of professional social work with local social work innovation.
