As the first collection of Lu Xun's creative novels,Call to Arms has been included in all editions of The Com-plete Works of Lu Xun.However,each edition of The Complete Works of Lu Xun has different treatment of the text,which is reflected in the collation,punctuation and notes.In the editing process of The Complete Works of Lu Xun,the text and exegesis of Call to Arms are influenced by different editorial ideas as well as ideological factors.The edition and notes surrounding this book manifest several problems in the contemporary Chinese publishing history.The different treatment of the text of Call to Arms in different editions of The Complete Works of Lu Xun reflects the historical changes of the publishing of Lu Xun's works.
