Effect of Corrosion Inhibitor on Corrosion Behaviour of Antenna T/R Module
As an important part of radar system,T/R module is prone to corrosion under the severe marine atmospheric environment, which leads to the performance degradation of the radar system and even failure. Based on the measured environmental data of an aircraft radar cabin, the accelerated corrosion test environmental spectrum is compiled. The equivalent accelerated corrosion comparison test is carried out for the T/R module with and without TFHS-20 corrosion inhibitor. The influence of corrosion inhibitor on the corrosion behavior of T/R module is characterized by the micro corrosion morphology of the transceiver channel chip, the corrosion pit depth of aluminum alloy shell, the transceiver performance and output power of T/R module. The results show that TFHS-20 corrosion inhibitor can only reduce the output power of T/R module by 0.59%~0.78% and the receiving gain by 0.11~0.21 dB,that is,the effect of TFHS-20 corrosion inhibitor on the transceiver performance of T/R module is very small. For T/R components without corrosion inhibitor, transmit channel performance and receive channel function fail during the fourth cycle of accelerated corrosion test. For T/R components with corrosion inhibitor, the reception channel function fails during the eighth cycle of the accelerated corrosion test. Therefore,TFHS-20 corrosion inhibitor can significantly and effectively improve the service life of T/R module.
