Research and Suggestion on the Recycling and Treatment System of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
As global electrical and electronic products undergo rapid updates and iterations, their life cycle shows a new trend of shortening. Waste electrical and electronic equipment ( WEEE) poses a significant threat to the global ecological environment, and it is imperative to solve this problen,so governments worldwide have enacted corresponding legislation to address this challenge. Firstly, the regulatory landscape in major countries worldwide is reviewed systematically. Then, the current state of the WEEE industry in China is analyzed and the existing problems in the development are put forward. Finally, development suggestions are proposed from three aspects of accelerating the deepening and promotion of the EPR system, enhancing the market competitiveness of formal recycling enterprises, and strengthening WEEE-related technical capabilities,so as to provide certain guidance for the development of WEEE industry in our country.
