Elucidation of Functional Safety Assessment for Automotive Chips
With the increasing complexity of automotive electronic and electrical systems and the rapid growth of the number of single-vehicle chips,the importance of functional safety assessment of automotive chips is also increasing significantly. The ISO 26262 standard is the main standard for the functional safety assessment of automotive chips. In view of the lack of understanding of functional safety and the late start of ISO 26262 certification in the field of automotive chip in China,the functional safety standard system is analyzed from the perspective of automotive chip enterprises and third-party certification bodies,and the ISO 26262 standard and functional safety certification methods are interpreted. The analysis results and suggestions can help the industry to deepen the understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety standard and support the standardization process of China' s automotive chip industry.
