Influence of steel strand on geoelectrical resistivity observation
From May to November,2021,the EW(East-West)channel of geoelectrical resistivity observation curve at the Huangchuan Seismic Station in Henan Province showed a significant step-like changes, while the NS(North-South)channel remained stable. We carried out interference investigation considering natural and site environments,as well as the observation system, ruling out the influence of rainfall and site environmental factors. It was found that the step-like changes and sudden jumps in the resistivity observation curve of the EW channel should be caused by the leakage from the steel strands of the overhead power lines used in the geoelectrical measurement setup.
