Preliminary study on the influence of groundwater level on fixed-point deformation—Take Jiujiang Central Station anomaly verification as an example
In May 2020,a significant sudden drop in the water level of Well 1 in Jiujiang was observed, accompanied by anomalies in the deformation measurement values recorded by the instruments at the Jiujiang Earthquake Monitoring Center Station. An investigation was conducted into the natural environment of the Jiujiang Center Station, the observation system, and potential human interferences.Furthermore, enhanced monitoring of Well 2 in Jiujiang was implemented, including exploring the underground structure of Well 2 by using downhole television. The anomaly was compared and analyzed against the anomalies produced in the deformation data by drilling in September 2008.Considering the hydrogeological conditions of the area,it was concluded that the abnormal water level in Jiujiang Well 1 in May 2020 was due to non-seismic regional tectonic activity. The influencing factors of groundwater level on fixed-point deformation data are summarized by analyzing data.
