Rapid detection of urban subsurface disasters by 2d and 3d ground penetrating radar:insights from a road in Changsha
Using the new-generation 3-D ground penetrating radar,Raptor45,in conjunction with 2-D geological radar,a rapid underground disaster detection study was conducted on a road in Changsha,Hunan Province. This study effectively identified underground structures such as pipelines and artificial structures,as well as subsurface anomalies like loose bodies, evacuations, and cavities associated with urban road disasters. The results serves as a demonstration case for the further application of new-generation 3D geological radar in the detection on underground disasters such as road collapses, subsurface cavities and ground loosening.
