Study on spatial distribution characteristics of Hubei seismic monitoring stations based on ArcGIS
Based on the ArcGIS platform,this study quantitatively studies the spatial distribution characteristics of seismic monitoring stations in Hubei Province through the spatial relationship between the distribution of seismic monitoring stations in Hubei Province and the administrative division,active fault zone and ground motion peak acceleration zoning.The results show that there are gaps or weak areas in seismic monitoring stations in Hubei Province.More than half of the geophysical monitoring stations and about one-third of the seismic stations in the province are within 10 km of the active fault.Additionally,all seismic stations in the province are situated in areas with seismic intensity above level VI.
