In order to obtain the seismic performance of rural houses in Pingshan County,Shijiazhuang City,a field survey was conducted in the form of sampling to obtain information on the main types and population distribution of rural houses. Based on previous earthquake damage experience and the proportion of various houses,expert scoring method was used to evaluate the seismic capacity of houses in Pingshan County. The results indicate thatthe earthquake-resistant capacity of rural housesin Pingshan area is general except Wentang Town,which has relatively good seismic resistance.
