Quantitative identification and characteristic analysis of barometric interference of YRY-4 component borehole strain gauge at Xinzhou Seismic Station
The data recorded by the four-component borehole strain gauges in five sub-stations of Xinzhou Seismic Station were selected. The characteristics of barometric interference were quantified and compared by S-transform,regression analysis, and wavelet transform. The results show that the influence of barometric pressure on borehole strain observation is universal, and the normalized dominant frequency distribution of barometric interference signals is in the band of 0-0.05 Hz.However, the interference coefficients of air pressure vary. From March to June 2023,the diurnal pressure interference coefficients of Daixian,Yuanping,Ningwu,Fanzhi, and Shenchi sub-stations are-2.5 × 10-9/hPa,-2.6 × 10-9/hPa,-1.3 × 10-9/hPa,-2.1 × 10-9/hPa,and-91.1 ×10-9/hPa,respectively,and Shenchi Station has the highest degree of pressure interference.
