Research on automatic generation of earthquake emergency thematic maps based on open source GIS
This article aims to discuss how to use Quantum Geographic Information System(QGIS)technology to achieve rapid and automatic generation of earthquake emergency thematic maps.After an earthquake,timely and accurate acquisition and analysis of earthquake related information is crucial for rescue operations.The traditional map-making process is tedious and time-consuming,while automated app lications based on open-source GIS can significantly improve the efficiency of this process.This article introduces the development background of open source GIS technology and its potential application in earthquake emergency response.The construction method of the automatic generation system for earthquake thematic maps was elaborated in detail,including key steps of data acquisition,processing,analysis,and visualization.Through case analysis,the practicality and effectiveness of the system were verified,which provies a new technical means for earthquake emergency response.
