As an important project in Chinese history,the Grand Canal is not only the crystallization of the wisdom and strength of the ancient Chinese working people,but also an important channel for cultural exchanges between China and Vietnam.The General Song and Diary of the Envoy of Yanjing was written by Nguyen Huiying,Vietnamese envoy to China during the reign of Emperor Qianlong,and recorded his experiences on the way to China.The book contains a large number of records and descriptions of canal hydraulic facilities,urban features and historical sites,which is of great value for the study of the Grand Canal traffic history,urban history and social history in the Qing dynasty.His delicate depiction of the Grand Canal shows his keen interest and in-depth understanding of Chinese culture,and also reflects the breadth and depth of Sino-Vietnamese cultural exchanges.Through the analysis and research of the Canal scenery recorded in it,it not only shows the social customs of the Canal region in the Qing dynasty,but also provides a more diversified and unique perspective for the spread of the Canal culture and the telling of the Canal story.
