Evaluation on the Safety of Geological Environment in the Planning Area of Jinzhou City
Geological environment is crucial for the safe development and utilization of urban land space, and a comprehensive evaluation of geological environment in the urban planning and development stage will aid to control the risk of geological disasters. This work took the planning area of Jinzhou City as an example, which is still in the pre-development stage.Based on the geological conditions and development needs, this study established a system of geological environment safety evaluation indexes and evaluation methods, and comprehensively evaluated the geological environment safety based on the dominant factor synthesis method. The evaluation suggests that the geological environmental safety in the study area can be divided into three levels, which are dominated by relative safety zone, followed by secondary unsafe zone and safety zone.In addition, the three zones were subdivided into 23 sub-zones according to the spatial location, regional tectonic stability and susceptibility to geological hazards, and the main influencing factors of the sub-zones were determined. The evaluation can well reflect the geological environmental safety and illustrate the key influencing factors, which will help to avoid geological hazards in the development of land space planning in the region.
