The Qian'an area in eastern Hebei is one of the important BIF iron ore concentration areas in China. With the increasing development and utilization of iron ore deposits, shallow iron ore resources have been completely depleted. In recent years, multiple geological exploration units have been conducting prospecting work in the deep and peripheral areas of large and medium-sized iron deposits in the Qian'an area, and have newly discovered thick and large ore bodies in the deep areas and achieved prospecting breakthroughs.Although some achievements have been made in exploration, there has been no systematic study on the distribution patterns and mineralization models of related iron deposits, and there is a lack of overall understanding of the mineralization belt in the Qian'an area. This work systematically analyzed the ore-forming geological conditions of sedimentary metamorphic iron deposits in the Qian'an area and summarizes the characteristics of the ore-bearing strata. The five level division of iron ore fold structures in the Qian'an area was carried out,and the three-level reversed syncline structure was determined as the main ore controlling structure. It has been preliminarily determined that the fault structure is a brittle fault after the mineralization period, which often causes damage and dislocation to the ore body.It has been clarified that the iron ore distribution in the Qian'an area is located in the"C"-shaped arc-shaped fold belt protruding southwestward from the Qian'an uplift, and its morphology is controlled by the reversed syncline.A comparative analysis was conducted on the geological characteristics of the second layer of iron ore bodies discovered in some mining areas in Qian'an.It is believed that the submarine hydrothermal blow activity has periodicity, and multiple layers of iron ore layers were formed during the original sedimentation. After the mineralization period, the fault structure was transformed, forming a stepped graben ore-bearing model with high in the north and low in the south.Based on years of exploration results and combined with this research work,a mineralization model for the Qian'an area has been established, providing theoretical support for the next exploration work.
