The large Qukulekedong Au-Sb deposit has been discovered in the western part of the East Kunlun Orogen in Xinjiang in recent years.Sicnce the ores in the Qukulekedong deposit are nearly exhausted, deep ore predication is urgently needed in this deposit.Based on the prospecting method of primary halos, this work conducted detailed sample collection along the prospecting lines No.12 and 20 in this deposit. The indicator elements of the Qukulekedong deposit were determined to be Au,Ag,As,Sb and W through cluster analysis and factor analysis. The vertical zoning sequence and geochemical parameters were calcualted, and the primary halo anomalies were analyzed. Results show that, along the prospecting line No.12 both the vertical zoning sequence and primary halo anomalies show superimposed front halo and rear halo elements. The geochemical parameters along the prospecting line No.12 display a certain"reversal"feature in the deep, and the near ore halo elements show a trend of extension to below 500 m depth.Along the prospecting line No.20,both the vertical zoning sequence and the primary halo anomalies show obvious"reverse zoning"characteristics.Furthermore, there are strong front halos and near ore halos superimposed with weak rear halos in the deep of the prospecting line No.20.And the geochemical parameters present a significant"reversal"at the bottom of the known ore bodies, indicative of the extension of the known orebodies to the deep.Based on this, this work established a superimposed primary halo model for this deposit. It is inferred that there are probably hidden ore bodies below the depth of 400 m along the prospecting line No.20,which should be focused on in further exploration.
