Roman Senchin's new novel Rain in Paris not only continues his previous realistic writing style to shape a small character image like most contemporary people,but also raises the issue of identity crisis for contemporary Russians on the basis of criticizing reality.Using the concepts of ethnic identity,national identity,regional identity,self-identity,and cultural identity in identity theory,this article deeply analyzes the identity crisis of contemporary Russians in the novel.It can be divided into three categories:the national identity crisis of Russians who have dispersed outside the Russian Federation,the regional identity crisis of Russians who have dispersed to other regions of the Russian Federation,and the self-identity crisis of Russians who have adhered to their homeland.
