Volcanic rocks eruption patterns and distribution of pyroclastic rocks in Nanpu Sag
The middle-deep volcanic rocks in Nanpu Sag are developed vertically in multiple phases, with large thickness and wide distribution, which is a favorable zone for hydrocarbon enrichment. However,it is difficult to identify and characterize the reservoirs directly with seismic data due to the thin volcanic rocks and rapid lateral changes, which affects the determination of favorable targets. In order to effectively portray the dessert development area of the dominant reservoirs in volcanic rocks, research on the regional distribution modes of volcanic rocks, the establishment of eruption model, the fine dissection of volcanic structures, the analysis of forward modeling, the fusion of attributes and geostatistical inversion were carried out in response to the problems in the prediction of favorable reservoirs in pyroclasticrocks. The research results show that:1)The volcanic eruption has multiple phases, and a single phase of volcanic eruption forms multiple independent volcanic bodies;2)The well-developed pyroclastic rocks above the basal eruptive rocks are favorable reservoir development sections with lithologic association;3)The more the pyroclastic reservoirs are developed, the more obvious the characteristics of the seismic amplitude weakening of the overburden strata are;4)The pyroclasticlogging curves are characterized by a medium acoustic wave time difference and a medium gamma characteristic.Understanding the above achievements has effectively promoted and implemented the structural morphology of the volcanic top surface and favorable reservoir distribution of pyroclastic rocks. It has a certain guiding significance for the breakthrough in exploring middle-deep volcanic rocks in Nanpu Sag.
