Characterization of capillary pressure curve and pore throat distribution based on reservoir physical parameters
In order to investigate the characteristics of capillary pressure curve and reservoir pore throat distribution, studied the mercury injection experimental data of Bohai Oilfield. The prediction model was established by linear interpolation, piecewise fitting and multiple regression methods for the existing capillary pressure curve, and the rationality of the model was verified. The results indicate that there is a strong correlation between reservoir porosity and permeability, capillary pressure, and pore throat distribution;Fitting the capillary pressure curve in the range of 5%to 90%mercury saturation shows that the fitting correlation is best when the mercury saturation is 10%.The fitting accuracy gradually decreases with the increase of mercury saturation, indicating that the correlation between small pore throats and porosity and permeability decreases when the mercury saturation is high, and is not the main controlling factor affecting it;The rationality of the model was tested, and the average fitting error of the maximum mercury saturation was 5.1%.The predicted values of the main part of the sample capillary pressure curve and pore throat distribution were in good agreement with the experimental values. The established prediction model can accurately characterize the capillary pressure curve and pore throat distribution of reservoirs in the region, and the research results have statistical significance, providing technical support for reservoir research.
