Characteristics analysis and classification evaluation of bauxite reservoir in Daniudi Gas Field
In recent years,a major breakthrough has been made in the development of natural gas from Permian bauxite rocks in the Longdong area of the Ordos Basin, marking a new frontier in domestic natural gas exploration. The Daniudi Gas Field, located within the Benxi Formation of the Carboniferous system,is characterized by the development of bauxite rocks, interspersed with dark mudstone and carbonaceous mudstone.Currently, the gas field's research on bauxite rock reservoirs is in its nascent stage, with the characteristics of well logging responses and evaluation methods in urgent need of refinement. To gain a deeper understanding of the storage characteristics of the Benxi Formation,a study was conducted on the well logging response characteristics and favorable area distribution of bauxite rocks in the Benxi Formation of the Dadiniu Gas Field. This study integrated special logging techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance with conventional logging, logging, and related geological data. The results of the research revealed:1)The presence of complex reservoir types in bauxite rocks, including pore-fracture or dissolution pores;2)The Benxi Formation bauxite rocks exhibit well logging response characteristics that include high Gamma ray and spontaneous potential values in the lower section with no significant anomalies and stable resistivity. This section also presents a noticeable negative anomaly in spontaneous potential with a stepwise decline in resistivity. In the upper section, the bauxite rocks display high Gamma ray and spontaneous potential values without significant anomalies.Overall, these characteristics are summarized as"three highs and two lows",specifically high gamma, high density, high neutron, low sonic, and low resistivity;3)Through comprehensive identification of bauxite rock reservoirs in the entire gas field, three favorable areas in the Dadiniu Gas Field's Well 66 sector were defined.Subsequently, well D66-85 was selected for testing, achieving a stable production of 1.4×104 m3/d.The study of well logging response characteristics and favorable areas of bauxite rock reservoirs provides theoretical guidance and technical support for subsequent exploration and development of bauxite rock natural gas.
