Commercial buildings are the focus of emission reduction in the construction industry.Singapore has important experience for China in terms of building energy consumption management and energy saving and emission reduction.Based on the energy consumption data of commercial buildings in Singapore, the energy consumption characteristics and influential factors of commercial buildings are explored through boxplots analysis and Spearman correlation coefficient analysis. It is found that there are large differences in energy consumption fluctuations and energy consumption levels among different functional types of commercial buildings in Singapore, with energy consumption fluctuations ranging from large to small in the order of retail building, office, mixed building, and hotel, and energy consumption levels ranging from high to low in the order of retail building, mixed building, hotel, and office. The energy consumption of commercial buildings in Singapore is significantly correlated with the year of completion, the percentage of air-conditioned area, and the LED usage rate, and all of them are positively correlated. In addition, the factors influencing the energy consumption of different green certification status and various functional types of buildings are also different. The results of the study can be used as a reference to make insights into the energy quota and energy saving guidance for commercial buildings in China.
