Electricity consumption is an important part of the operating energy consumption of public buildings.Under the challenge of building energy conservation requirements and sustainable development of building energy,it is necessary to control both consumption intensity and total amount, and to develop renewable energy to enhance demand side effects. It is particularly important to understand the energy consumption characteristics of public buildings.Based on the statistical data of Beijing's civil energy resources, this paper takes large public buildings as the object, and analyzes the energy consumption characteristics from the four dimensions of year, month, day and hour. The analysis found that the electricity consumption of cultural and educational buildings and hotel buildings has an upward trend, which should be paid attention to.The peak monthly electricity consumption in the whole year(cooling season)is 1.7 times of the valley value(transition season),so it is necessary to pay attention to the energy consumption of HVAC,especially the local government office buildings and office buildings. The typical daily power load curves for workdays, weekends, and holidays vary depending on the types of building.Compared with working days, the average daily power consumption per square meter of state offices and office buildings during holidays dropped by more than 30%.
