In order to study the indoor thermal comfort of typical traditional dwellings in Taizhou,Zhejiang Province in winter,59 traditional dwellings in Linhai Ancient Town,Chaoji Village,Lijiazhai Village,Gaoqian Village and Hourenshangjie Village were investigated in the form 可 questionnaire survey on the basic information and the subjective responses to indoor thermal environment of residents by using ASHRAE's seven-point scale of thermal sensation.Meanwhile, the thermal environment of each traditional dwelling was tested.Based on a combination of questionnaire survey and data measurement by the statistical regression method, results shows that the local residents'thermal neutral temperature is 14.064 ℃(NET)on wintertime, and the thermal preference temperature is 16.689 ℃(NET),and the comfortable temperature range of 80%acceptable is 12.122-25.071 ℃(NET).The research can serve as the basis for improving the thermal environment of traditional dwelling in Taizhou.Substituting the average value of the local thermal resistance and metabolic rate into the PMV-PPD model, the result shows that the predicted thermal neutral temperature is 15.014 ℃(NET),which is close to the measured thermal neutral temperature, indicating that the ability of traditional dwellers to endure adverse environmental conditions is strengthened by the thermal adaptive behaviors they have adopted.
