The central water supply system has gradually replaced the independent water supply system of single-department because of its unique advantages in the medical pure water system of new and retrofitted hospital projects.Compared with single-department independent equipment water supply system, its main advantages include:the water treatment room is located in the non-business room area in the basement, does not occupy the area of departments and wards, and the operation of the equipment will not cause noise pollution to the departments;Convenient centralized management, less consumption, less maintenance personnel required; The concentrated water produced by reverse osmosis can be recycled, saving water and energy, and the operation cost is low.Combined with the central water supply system adopted in the hospital project, the characteristics of the system and the problems needing attention in the design are analyzed and discussed.By comparing the economic benefits between the central water supply system and the single department independent water supply system,it is proposed that the central water supply system meets the requirements of water saving and energy saving of green hospital buildings, and can maximize the utilization of water resources and minimize the discharge of wastewater.
