As a typical public transportation building, the green design of large railway passenger station and the application of related technologies are of great significance to reduce the carbon emission of building operation. This paper takes Xiong'an Intercity Station,an underground comprehensive transportation hub,as an example.Based on the actual situation of the project, the carbon emission of railway passenger station is quantitatively analyzed by using carbon emission software simulation calculation method.Influence of green design and different technical measures on the carbon emissions during its operation is explored, such as improving building enclosure parameters, using high-performance cold sources for air conditioning and refrigeration, reducing the cooling(heat)ratio of water pumps in heating and air conditioning systems, reducing power consumption per unit air volume for air conditioning fans, improving exhaust heat recovery efficiency, reducing lighting power density, and using renewable energy. The results of this study can be used as reference for the green design and energy saving and carbon reduction of large railway passenger stations in the future.
