The basic information and energy consumption of 30 mall buildings in Shanghai during 2017-2019 was investigated,including the area of different formats in the malls.Spearman correlation coefficient method and Pearson partial correlation coefficient method were used to analyze the basic factors affecting the energy consumption of shopping malls.It was found that the area of structure was the main factor affecting the energy consumption.Meanwhile,the area of different forms in the mall,especially the proportion of forms,had an important effect.The highest correlation with the energy consumption was the public area.And the proportion of dining area and the proportion of public area were the top two factors with energy consumption per unit area.When the proportion of air conditioning area was controlled,the correlation between energy consumption per unit area and the proportion of dining area was obvious.
