The popularization of green buildings is an important measure for the construction field to respond to the national energy conservation and emission reduction and achieve sustainable development, and it is also an effective way for the construction industry to achieve the double carbon goal.Taking a residential project in Qingdao as an example, the article analyzes the energy-saving strategies in the Assessment standard for green building(GB/T 50378-2019),including health and comfort, resource conservation and improvement and innovation.Meanwhile, the energy-saving operation strategies of the project are studied in terms of enclosure structures, lighting fixtures, shading facilities,cooling/heating systems, etc. The potential for energy optimization is explored and the energy-saving benefits generated during its operation is expounded by analyzing the operational energy consumption of the project.the energy optimization potential of the two-star green building is analyzed to promote the transformation of urban construction towards green and low-carbon development in China, and provide reference for achieving"Dual-Carbon Goals"(realizing carbon peak before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060)in China.
