Green building certification is an important tool for promoting and disseminating green building practices. However, the current green building evaluation systems mainly focus on the energy efficiency and environmental requirements at the building level. This paper selects the widely used LEED v4 rating system and the more rigorous LBC 4.0 rating system as comparative objects.Firstly,it analyzes the differences and characteristics of the two systems in their evolution process and the overall correlation and correspondence between the two systems in terms of indicators, and the differences in certification targets, indicator nature, evaluation methods, etc. Then, using the content of the LBC rating system as a basis for comparison, the study further compares the two systems, analyzing their similarities, differences, and the underlying reasons. The study also summarizes the emerging certification elements and development trends, providing references and insights for the future development of green building evaluation in China.
