The solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmittance are important indicators for evaluating the insulation and lighting performance of insulating glass. Calculation Specification for Thermal Performance of Windows,Doors and Glass Curtain-Walls (JGJ/T 151—2008) provides a calculation method for solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmittance based on solar irradiance. A calculation method for solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmittance based on single glass photothermal parameters is proposed; The results are compared and verified using a calculation method based on the photothermal parameters of a single piece of glass,a calculation method based on solar irradiance, mainstream calculation software MQMC calculation method, and actual measurement verification method. The high accuracy proved the reliability of the calculation method for the solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmittance of insulating glass based on the photothermal parameters of a single piece of glass. This method is of great significance for the evaluation of the photothermal performance of insulating glass, the development of related tools, and the promotion of building energy conservation.
