区域国别研究是国家、组织、群体和个体跨境互动的产物,从弥散到统合,大致经历了古代感性认识时期、近代欧洲中心主义时期、当代美国中心主义时期,以及新时代多极化时期四个阶段.随着中国综合实力的上升,中国与外部世界的政治、经济和人文联系日益紧密,区域国别研究从自在到自觉,正朝着建立区域国别学的方向努力.中国的区域国别学以学科交叉与融合为手段,以建立自主知识体系为目标,以培养复合型人才为任务.它源于基础学科,坚持问题导向和综合创新,既服务国家战略,又打破传统学科之间的壁垒,利用学科群的优势,解决人类安全与发展中面临的重大理论与现实问题.在中国区域国别学从实践到理论,再从理论到实践的建设过程中,学科建制、教材体系、人才培养、国际交流、学术分工、二级学科设置等是国别学建设面临的主要任务,需要认真处理好基础与应用、存量与增量、一般与特色之间的关系.
Area and country studies is the outcome of cross-border interaction among states,organizations,groups and individuals.It has roughly gone through four stages:the ancient period,the modem European-centrism period,the contemporary American-centrism period,and the new era of multi-polarization.With the rise of China's comprehensive strength,the political,economic and cultural ties between China and the outside world are increasingly close.Regional and country studies are moving towards the goal of establishing a discipline.China's regional and country studies take the interdisci-plinary and integration as the means,the establishment of independent knowledge system as the goal,and the training of multi-discipline talents as the task.It origi-nates from basic disciplines,adheres to problem-resolu-tion and comprehensive innovation,providing service for the national developmental strategy,breaks the bar-riers between traditional disciplines,and make use of the advantages of discipline groups to solve major theo-retical and practical problems in human security and de-velopment.In the process of the building China-styled area and country studies,the main tasks facing China are discipline governance,textbooks,talent training,international exchanges,division of labor,and sub-disci-plinary buildup.It is necessary to carefully handle the relationship between academic and policy studies,be-tween accumulation and innovation,and between overall and featured studies.
