Certain objects in area studies may be left in the blind spot of peripheries from the traditional perspective of existing disciplines.African thoughts on international rela-tions are among the topics that have been neglected for a long period of time. While in recent years, the reflective and critical development in the discipline of international relations has gradually opened the space for the legitimacy of African knowledge as well as the literary perspective method.Such a new interdisciplinary method is also highly consistent with the reality of Africa. What is more, area studies with Chinese characteristics, which pursue the equal communication and mutual learning between civilizations, could adopt pluralistic methods tailored for these specific research purposes and ob-jects,thus making distinctive contributions to the recognition and exploration of the thoughts in Africa and other non-west-em areas, filling the research gaps once left in the blind spot with the new perspective.By illustrating key points of"globa-lectics",namely the"decentralization"principle, the global interconnectedness and the revolutionary imagination generated by the dialectical dynamics, the value of globalectics developed by the great African Marxist literator Ngūg(i),could be better understood. The literary perspective also leads to an improved knowledge of contemporary African thoughts on international relations. This paper not only serves as an attempt to apply the new method of area studies for broadening new horizons in practice, but also points to the chance that China and Africa can communicate their conceptions on international relations in order to jointly cultivate the awareness of a community with a shared future for mankind.
