Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia in 1955,the bilat-eral relations have experienced four development stages:the early period(1955-1971),the political alliance pe-riod(1971-1991),the friendly partnership period(1991-2015)and the strategic partnership period(2015-2024).Despite the efforts have made by the heads of the two countries to promote economic and trade coopera-tion,but the"hot politics and cold economy"situation has not changed, and the scale of Indian investment in Mongolia and bilateral trade is very limited. However, the cooperation between India and Mongolia in the field of military security based on common strategic needs is still worthy of vigilance, and their cooperation in the field of uranium supply also needs high attention. In re-cent years,India's education diplomacy,Buddhist diplo-macy,cultural diplomacy, aid diplomacy, international organizations and multilateral diplomacy have achieved remarkable results in Mongolia. Now,India and Mongolia have discussed elevating their relations to a comprehen-sive strategic partnership,on a par with China-Mongolia relations and Russia-Mongolia relations.
