Research on Risk Prevention of Private Universities in the Framework of Organizational Immunity
The overall development status of private colleges and universities in our country is stable and positive. However, various risks and challenges have persisted throughout the development of private higher education in China. The existing risks are primarily in the areas of capital and finance, internal governance, and the quality of education.Establishing a risk prevention mechanism for private colleges and universities is beneficial for achieving high-quality development.Drawing on the theory of organizational immunity,an analytical framework for risk prevention in private colleges and universities has been constructed. This framework includes three key elements:non-specific immunity, specific immunity, and the relationship between the organization and the environment.Non-specific immunity is the preemptive risk prevention mechanism carried out by private colleges and universities, which includes the organizational structure, system rules, and organizational culture.Specific immunity is the acquired risk prevention mechanism within private colleges and universities, encompassing organizational surveillance, defense, and memory. In terms of the relationship between the organization and the environment,it is necessary to build a collaborative risk governance system for private colleges and universities, purify the social and cultural environment, improve the policy and institutional environment, and establish a regular evaluation and monitoring system.
