Research on the Synergy between the Disciplinary Structure and the Industrial Structure of Higher Education in the New Era
In the context of the new era,the synergistic development of disciplinary structure and industrial structure not only affects the effectiveness of higher education services but also determines the sustainability of higher education.Through descriptive statistics, the coupling coordination degree model, and the grey relational degree model, this study examines the patterns of disciplinary structure, the degree of coupling and coordination between the disciplinary structure and industrial structure, and the relevance of various disciplines to the upgrading of the disciplinary structure in China's higher education from 2011 to 2021.key findings are summarized as follows:firstly, the tertiary, secondary, and primary industry-related disciplines in higher education are evolving in the sequence "tertiary>secondary>primary",with tertiary industry-related disciplines steadily increasing, secondary industry-related disciplines steadily declining, and primary industry-related disciplines stabilizing;secondly, the degree of coupling and coordination between the disciplinary structure and industrial structure of higher education demonstrates an upward trend that is"sharp initially and then slows down";thirdly, from 2011 to 2014 and from 2015 to 2021,the relevance of various industry-related disciplines to the upgrading of the disciplinary structure showed a decreasing trend of "312" and "321",respectively.To continuously optimize the disciplinary structure of higher education,it is essential to adhere to internal and external development principles and proactively adapt to the upgrading of industrial structures, and to enhance the intersectional frequency of various industry-related disciplines to generate new quality productive forces.
