空间中的国家:基层公共空间生产与国家社会关系的重构

摘要
现代国家形成以后,普遍面临如何"进入"社会的问题.权力、资源、文化是国家的基本属性,也是国家展现自身并由此进入社会的具体途径.在单位体制下,"单位"成为国家权力、资源和文化的容器,以及国家连接社会与个人的中介机制,即国家主要通过单位关联并进入中国社会.单位制解体后,国家再度面临如何进入社会的问题.本文在国家社会关系变迁的视角下,基于对城市基层公共空间生产的质性分析,提出了"空间中的国家"命题.在后单位时代,空间承载了单位的"容器"与"中介"功能,成为国家进入社会并在其中完成自身再造的创新形态与关键机制.当代中国主要通过基层公共空间生产,在日常生活场域呈现自身形象、塑造国家权威、培育治理共同体,以此推动国家进入社会,重构紧密的国家与社会关系.
Abstract
After the formation of the modern state,it is common to face the problem of how to"enter"the society.Power,resources and culture are the basic attributes of the state,and they are also the specific ways through which the state presents itself and enters society.Under the unitary system,the"Unit"became the container of state power,resources,and culture,as well as the intermediary mechanism through which the state connected society with individuals,for example,the state related to and entered Chinese society mainly through the unit.After the disintegration of the unit system,the state once again faces the problem of how to enter society.This paper proposes the proposition of"State Making in Community Public Space"based on a qualitative analysis of the construction of public space at the grassroots level in cities from the perspective of spatial production theory.It is argued that in the post-unit period,space carries the functions of"container"and"mediator"of the unit,and becomes the basic tool for the state to enter society and recreate itself in it.In contemporary China,it is mainly through the production of public space at the grassroots level that the state presents its image,shapes state authority,and cultivates governance communities in the field of daily life,thereby promoting the state's entry into society and reconstructing the close state-society relationship.
