Overview of the development of unitized force balance
The rear sting strain gauge balances are widely used in wind tunnel tests.With the development of technologies of the advanced aircrafts,the common one-piece moment balances based on bending deformation cannot meet the increasing demands of the wind tunnel force tests,which makes it urgent to design more capable and stiffer unitized force balance to undertake the task of high-precision aerodynamic force tests.Through the literature comprehensive research on the development status of unitized force balance and the research hotspots in related fields at home and abroad,we mainly introduce the basic working principle of the unitized force balance,with analysis of the key technologies of force balance development from three aspects of structural design,manufacturing and assembly,and balance calibration,and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of unitized force balance development and application,so as to provide references for the development of force balance independently.
