Comparison of Different Rearing Methods of Broad-leaved Trees and Study on Rearing Methods of Pothole Seedling
In order to improve the survival rate of broad-leaved trees in afforestation, the experiments on different hole plate specifications, seedling substrate and seedling method of Quercus variabilis,Ulmus pumila and Quercus Liaotungensis, etc.was carried out.The data were analyzed by variance analysis and multiple comparison(duncan). The results showed as the following three aspects.(1)The growth and root development of 28-hole tray seedling was the best, followed by 32-hole tray, and the 50-hole tray was the worst, and there was no significant difference be-tween 28-hole tray and 32-hole tray.Considering the cost of seedling cultivation,32-hole tray is recommended to be used for seedling cultivation.(2)The optimal substrate ratio of pothole seedling rearing was peat soil:perlite∶ver-miculite=2∶1∶1(volume ratio).(3)Three seedling rearing methods were adopted,in terms of lateral root quan-tity and root quantity, pothole seedling>container seedling>bare root seedling. Therefore, the selection of pot-hole seedling breeding can improve the survival rate of afforestation.
