Study on Soil Physical Properties of Mixed Forest of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mongolica in the Southern Foothills of Mountainous Area of Northern Hebei Province
In order to clarify the soil physical properties of mixed forest of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mongolica in the southern foothills of mountainous area of northern Hebei Province, and to explore its water and soil conservation ability,Pinus tabuliformis pure forest,Quercus mongolica pure forest and mixed forest of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mongol-ica were selected as the research objects, and their differences in soil physical properties were analyzed. The results showed that the mean soil bulk density was as follows:Pinus tabuliformis pure forest(1.26 g·cm-3)>mixed forest of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mongolica(1.21 g·cm-3)>Quercus mongolica pure forest(1.08 g·cm-3).The mean total soil porosity was as follows:Pinus tabuliformis pure forest(42.39%)<mixed forest of Pinus tabuliformis and Quercus mon-golica(43.32%)<Quercus mongolica pure forest(51.53%),and the maximum water holding rate of soil and the water holding capacity of soil capillary showed the same magnitude relationship:Quercus mongolica pure forest>mixed forest of Pinustabuliformis and Quercus mongolica>Pinus tabuliformis pure forest.Soil porosity decreased with the increase of soil depth, while the soil bulk density showed increasing trend with the increase of soil depth.
