Experiment on Grafting of Cerasus × kanzakura'Kawazu-zakura'
In order to select the most suitable rootstock for grafting of Cerasus × kanzakura'Kawazu-zakura',the grafting experiment was carried out with different rootstock species, specifications and lignification degree, and the survival rate, plant height, interface diameter and healing of each treatment were compared and analyzed. The results showed as follows:the survival rate of C.'Guangzhou'as rootstock(96.15%)was much higher than that of C.campanulata as rootstock(70.35%);the degree of lignification of rootstock had little effect on the survival rate of grafting;with the increase of ro-otstock size, the survival rate of grafting increased significantly and then decreased;there was significant difference in plant height(P<0.05)and interface diameter(P<0.01)between grafted plants of Cerasus × kanzakura'Kawazu-zakura'by using C.campanulata of lignified large-size(ground diameter 15.0-19.9 mm)and non-lignified small-size(ground di-ameter 6.0-9.9 mm);the interface diameter difference between the grafted plants of Cerasus × kanzakura'Kawazu-zaku-ra'by using lignified large-size C.campanulata and non-lignified small-size C.'Guangzhou'and lignified small-size C.campanulata was respectively significant(P<0.05).The rate of good healing of Cerasus × kanzakura'Kawazu-zakura'plants(96.66%)using C.'Guangzhou'as rootstocks was higher than that of plants(77.40%)using C.campanulata as rootstocks.Lignification of rootstock could improve the healing degree of grafting interface, but the rate of good healing sig-nificantly decreased obviously with the increase of rootstock size.
