传统意义上,有关"情节"的探讨,主要围绕文本凝缩之后所得的具体信息,及其可被还原的某种叙述模式.本文基于符号叙述学的视角,将叙述之于自我的意义,视为情节构建及分析的关键,并认为:"情节"构建中的叙述元素,应当同时在"什么"(what)与"如何"(how)两个层面展开,由此为卷人文本的自我(无论是文本的发出者、接收者还是其中的角色)提供一个意义栖居之处.
Abstract
In literary studies,debates over"plot"traditionally centre on the message from the condensed text and its reducible narrative pattern.This paper,adopting a semiotic narratological approach,takes the meaning of the self offered by narrative as the key to an analysis of the plot.It argues that in literary texts,an understanding of the narrative elements in plot construction should be developed from the two dimensions of"what"and"how"to make the text meaningful to the self(regardless of the sender,receiver,or character of the text).
