Analysis of Fe2 O3 in the body of Jian-ware by FAAS under different digestion methods
The Jian-ware,is a quintessential representative of the Song Dynasty's teapots.Due to its high iron content in its body,it is often referred to as the"iron-bodied".Its abundance of iron is both an important characteristic and a hard re-quirement for Jian-ware.Modern newly fired teapots that are not made of iron-bodied material cannot be considered Jian-ware.Accurately quantifying the Fe2O3 content in the body of a Jian zhan is crucial for quality control, and the correct and effective dissolving method is a fundamental prerequisite and key step in this process. In this article,we used the flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry(FAAS)as our testing approach to analyze Jian-ware after undergoing three different pre-dissolving treatments. The results showed that the correlation coefficient R2 for the standard curve was 0.9998.The de-tection limits for each treatment were 0.030 mg/kg for the electric plate wet method,0.021 mg/kg for the melting decomposi-tion method, and 0.039 mg/kg for the microwave digestion method.Notably, all three methods have high precision and accu-racy,and can meet the requirements of daily production testing.
