Detection and risk assessment of clenbuterol residues in beef
In order to assess the residual risk of clenbuterol compounds in commercially available beef,an ultra-high perfor-mance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS)was established for the simultaneous determina-tion of 19 target compounds in beef within 9 min using QuEChERS pretreatment. The calibration curve was linear in the range 0.1×10-3~10×10-3 mg/L.Recovery experiments were performed varied from 1-20 μg/kg.The recovery rates for most target compounds were in the range of 67.2%-95.5%,76.3%-106.8%,69.2%-101.4%,respectively.The method was used to analyze 102 commercially available beef.According to the detection results, dietary exposure risk of clenbuterol com-pounds can be considered as low risk.
