Auto-enrichment and Simultaneous Determination of Cu、Cd、Pb、Ni、Co、Mn and V in Seawater
There had been growing concern about heavy metal contamination in seawater, challenging analysts to find better detection methods for determination of traces of heavy metals for the risk-assessment studies and follow-up protecting pro-cedures.It is difficult to analyze accurately the concentrations of heavy metals in seawater due to the high salinity and low concentration, which required very sensitive analytical techniques.Hence a method was established for the auto-enrich-ment and simultaneous determination of Cu,Cd,Pb,Ni,Co,Mn and V in seawater samples by ultra trace hexavalent chromi-um analyzer and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer(ICP-MS).The results indicated that the good linear rang-es were 0.00 μg/L-100 μg/L with r=0.999 9.The determination limits of the method were in the range of 0.002 μg/L-0.01 μg/L.The average recovery rate was 91.6%-110%,and the relative standard deviation was less than 4.0%,suitable for the determination of heavy metal elements in seawater.
