Study on identification of solid waste characteristics for an unknown silicon-containing material
There are various types of solid waste deriving from silicon-containing materials, which brings dificulties to the identification of solid waste characteristics. In this paper,an unknown silicon-containing sample was taken as the research object, and physicochemical properties such as phase structure, component content, particle size distribution and micro-morphology were analyzed. In combination with the appearance of the sample and the producing and processing technology of silicon-containing materials, possible sources of the sample were analyzed. The results showed that the sample was the dust recycled during the production of silicon powder from industrial silicon,or was doped with the recycled dust. Thus, the sample belonged to solid waste. In conclusion,an identification method of solid waste characteristics for imported powder silicon-containing materials was established, providing the technical support for supervising and identifying the solid waste characteristics of silicon-containing materials, which had great significance for preventing the import of silicon-containing solid waste.
