摘要
林纾是清朝末年优秀的文学翻译家，在他的译文中存在大量变译手法。从顺应论交际语境的物理世界方面看，这些变译是顺应了人们救国图存的目的；从社交世界方面看，是顺应了中国传统道德；从心理世界方面看，顺应了译文读者的心理接受能力。
Abstract
Lin Shu is a great literary translator during the late Qing dynasty, in whose translation works there exist lots of translation variations ( in his translated novels ) . This paper explores the translation variations from the perspective of communicative context. From the aspect of the physical world, the variations adapt to the purpose of saving and safeguarding the country. From the aspect of the social world, they adapt to the traditional Chinese moral standard. From the aspect of the mental world, they adapt to the target readers’ psychological reception ability.
