Physiological Effects of Inoculation of Mycorrhizal Fungi on Dendrobium officinale
[Objective]To investigate the mycorrhizal effects of different fungi in symbiosis with Dendrobium officinale, reveal the physiological effects of orchid mycorrhizal symbiosis, and provide theoretical basis for mycorrhizal cultivation of Dendrobium officinale.[Method]Using tissue culture seedlings of Dendrobium officinale as the research object, two mycorrhizal fungi,Cladosporium halotolerans(Ch)and Mycena dendrobii(Md),were inoculated to analyze their effects on the growth and development, bioactive substances, and sugar transport of Dendrobium officinale.[Result]After 10 days of inoculation with two types of fungi in the tissue culture seedlings of Dendrobium officinale, mycelial nodules with spiral and moniliform structures were formed in the cortical cells of the roots, and browning appeared on the surface of the Dendrobium officinale roots.Following inoculation with Md and Ch,no significant change was observed in the biomass of Dendrobium officinale;Following inoculation with Md,the alkaloid content in both the aboveground and underground parts rose by 21.74%and 18.75%,respectively,with the total flavonoid content in the aboveground parts increasing by 30%;Inoculation with Md led to a 25.00%increase in fructose content in the aboveground parts and facilitated the transport of glucose and sucrose from the aboveground to the underground parts.Inoculation with Ch led to a 12.77%increase in alkaloid content in the aboveground parts of Dendrobium officinale, but a 43.75%decrease in the underground parts; The total flavonoid content decreased by 27.12%in the aboveground parts and 50.91%in the underground parts;Inoculation with Ch resulted in a 30.00%increase in fructose content in the aboveground parts and facilitated the transport of sucrose from the underground to the aboveground parts.[Conclusion]After being inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi,Dendrobium officinale forms a symbiotic relationship. The mycorrhizal fungi enhance the production of alkaloids and flavonoids in Dendrobium officinale, and facilitate the transport of fructose, glucose, and sucrose.
